Blueberry Smoothie Bowl

You know how you're supposed to chew your smoothie, mindfully allowing the mixture to combine with your saliva to aid digestion? Yeah, I never do that. I gulp it down ten sips at a time while I'm getting dressed, in the car or at my desk. And I'm guessing most other people do, too. Smoothie bowls were invented for us guzzlers. Putting the smoothie in a bowl and topping it with nuts, seeds and berries forces you to slow down. And it looks pretty. Be as basic of as fancy as you want with the pattern, and there's no shame in using frozen fruit – it's cheaper, quicker to prepare and will keep the smoothie cool.
