Face oils were my gateway drug. So ignorant was I about taking care of my skin that I was unencumbered by the belief that using oils would lead to breakouts. All I knew was that Miranda Kerr used them ... and that was all I needed to know. I thought nothing would tempt me away from my beloved Trilogy Organic Rosehip Oil. But then I tried MV Skincare's Rose Plus Booster...
Made from a blend of camellia, jojoba, rosehip, geranium, Bulgarian rose oils, vitamin E and rosemary extract, the serum works to balance hormonal skin, calm redness and even out the complexion. The vegan-friendly organic formula is suitable for all skin types, but is particularly recommended for dry or inflamed skin.
I like to mix a few drops of the booster into my moisturiser as the last stage of my evening routine. I'm prone to hormonal breakouts and after I'd used the oil for thirty days – i.e throughout each stage of my cycle – my skin was markedly less red, angry and sore. Apparently it's also very good for those suffering from rosacea or as aftercare if you've spent too long in the sun (or in the dermatologist's office...) The oil absorbs into skin quickly, wears very lightly and smells absolutely lovely. A 30ml bottle should last at least a few months. Highly recommended.
